The Method
Where Skin Meets Science
The GlowFlow Method is built on the science of your body’s natural detoxification systems — the lymphatic and glymphatic networks. Your lymphatic system clears waste and fluid from the body, while your glymphatic system (discovered in 2012) performs a similar job for the brain — flushing out toxins, metabolic waste and proteins.
As a sleep educator, I’ve spent years helping people understand how rest, rhythm and flow restore both body and mind. The GlowFlow Method bridges this connection — supporting the systems that influence your sleep, clarity and glow. Studies show that during sleep, the glymphatic system becomes up to 60% more active, helping the brain detoxify and recharge for the day ahead.
Your 2-minute face flow reset
Each stroke supports lymphatic and glymphatic flow — encouraging clarity, calm and radiance from within.
1
Open the pathways
Lightly tap or pump above the collarbone, behind the ears and under the arms to open key receptor areas and prepare your body for drainage.
2
Clear the neck
Brush downward from jaw to collarbone to move stagnant fluid and create space for healthy flow.
3
Sinus + under eyes
Use gentle strokes beneath the eyes and across the sinus area to reduce puffiness and tension.
4
Work the face
Sweep outward and upward from the center of the face to boost circulation, lift and release.
Morning and Night Rituals
The GlowFlow Brush can be used morning and night — each time supporting your body and brain in a different way.
In the morning, brushing helps stimulate circulation, reduce puffiness and activate both the lymphatic and glymphatic pathways after the brain’s nightly cleanse. It wakes up your flow, preparing your skin and mind for the day ahead.
At night, brushing plays a powerful, science-backed role in preparing your body for restorative sleep. By gently stimulating drainage points before bed, you help open the pathways that allow the brain’s glymphatic system to work efficiently during deep sleep — the time when it clears toxins and resets your mind.
Think of evening brushing as clearing the on-ramps before your brain’s nightly detox begins.
The Sleep Connection
Your brain’s waste-clearance system is most active during deep, restorative sleep — when cerebrospinal fluid flows through brain tissue to wash away built-up toxins. When you brush before bed, you’re helping the body release tension, calm the nervous system and support optimal fluid movement through the neck and head — key areas where the lymphatic and glymphatic systems connect.
In the morning, brushing helps continue this natural detox cycle by stimulating circulation and encouraging any remaining fluid or toxins from the night to drain efficiently.
By keeping these pathways open, your brain can perform its natural overnight “cleanse” more efficiently — leading to clearer thinking, calmer energy and visibly brighter skin. Brushing supports the same detox and repair systems that keep your mind clear, your sleep restorative and your glow natural.
Why I Created the GlowFlow Brush
About 18 months ago, I hit a point where I felt flat — disconnected from myself and constantly pouring energy into everyone else. Like so many women in the peri-menopause years, I was swimming in advice and “quick fixes,” but nothing felt right. I wanted something simple, grounding and real.
That’s when I came back to a technique I’d grown up with — gentle brushing to support the body’s natural flow systems. I began using it on my face each morning and evening, not just as a beauty ritual, but as a way to reconnect with myself.
The transformation has been incredible. My mood lifted, my mental clarity sharpened, my skin feels brighter and even the shape of my face has changed (in the best way).
The GlowFlow Brush is my way of sharing this simple, science-inspired ritual with you — so you can feel the difference in your skin, your mind and the way you rest.
